Financial Services Department at University of Maryland, Baltimore County oversees the Accounting and Financial Reporting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Budget and Resource Analysis, Cash Management, Plant Accounting and Inventory, Debt Management, Contracts and Grants, Commitment Accounting, Financial System, and Student Accounts and Payments.

Financial Services Staff provide quality customer service and informed leadership to the campus in areas requiring our financial expertise. FY2022 COVID Expense Tracking – The need for “COVID Projects” to track expenses has diminished as the Federal and State Guidance evolves. The COVID Projects are inactivated for most of campus.  For specific COVID expense activity, please use this  COVID FY22 Guidance.

UMBC / USM Policies support a broad range of activity including Fiscal and Business Affairs.  Financial Services Leadership partners with UMBC Management Advisory Services and the UMBC Policy committee to establish, review, and update UMBC financial and accounting policies.

Financial Services Docusign Forms and Transaction Requests are available on the Form Icon, such as PeopleSoft / PAW Security, Non-Sponsored Projects, Working Fund Information, Inventory Additions and Disposals, and other various transactions.

Student Business Services serves the Student and Campus Community regarding Student billing and payments, Off Campus, Third Party Billing, Campus Departmental Deposits, and other Student billing related items.
